Configuring maven on windows machine

This tutorial is about configuring maven on your windows machine.

Maven is the most widely used build tool to compile java code.

      Download the maven binary from http://maven.apache.org/
 

Step 1:
Go to ‘start’ menu -> right-click on ‘Computer’ -> select ‘Properties’


 

Step 2:

Select  ‘advanced system settings’






Step 3:




Select ‘Environment Variables’
 



Step 4:



Select ‘New’ in ‘user variables’ section and give the path where maven is installed on your machine and submit ‘OK’
 

Step 5:
Submit ‘OK’ in system properties window.



To check whether path has been set properly, open command prompt and type ‘mvn -version’
 

Maven has now been configured on your machine and you are good to start
