Setting java classpath on windows machine

This tutorial is about setting java path variable on your windows machine.

Step 1: 


Go to ‘start’ menu -> right-click on ‘Computer’ -> select ‘Properties’



Step 2:

Select  ‘advanced system settings’


Step 3:
Select ‘Environment Variables’
  


Step 4:
Select ‘New’ in ‘user variables’ section and give the path where jdk is installed on your machine and submit ‘OK’


Variable name  : PATH
Variable value : <directory where jdk is installed>
  


Step 5:
Submit ‘OK’ in system properties window.

To check whether path has been set properly, open command prompt and type ‘javac -version’

 

You are good to start compiling your code now... ;)
